REASONABLE

A new trend has emerged in Great Britain; it’s called “napercize.” Gyms all across the UK are providing beds for their slightly-less-than-motivated customers so that sleep-deprived moms and stressed-out dads can get 45 minutes of quiet and sleep while burning calories. Room temperatures are set at 60-67 degrees, since studies have suggested that sleeping in colder rooms may rev up metabolism and burn a few calories.

Do reasonable people do such things? Would you?

On Sunday, we’re wrapping up our seven-week “Skeptics Welcome” series. We’ve asked many questions over the past several weeks. How do we make sense of suffering? Does it matter what we do if we’re not hurting anybody? Where is the hope Christians talk about? Can I make myself into a good person all by myself? Is Christianity outdated?

For our final week, we’re tackling this monster: Should a reasonable person believe this stuff?

IF YOU HAVE A SKEPTICAL FRIEND, SUNDAY WOULD BE AN EXCELLENT DAY TO INVITE THEM TO CHURCH.

This weekend, our text will be John 13:31-14:7. This is a monster text for our last monster question. This weekend, a skeptic might be surprised to see several other skeptics within the pages of scripture. It’s beyond reasonable how Jesus responds.

I’m super excited to teach and wrap up our “Skeptics Welcome” series this weekend. I’m anticipating God to move and fill us with awe, wonder, and His glory. Interested? See you at 9:00 and 10:45 a.m. We’ll set the AC a little cooler. Maybe you can burn a few calories as well!

Blessings,
