YOUR BIG DEAL
Getting your mother’s tests results back after bone scans, MRIs, PET scans, blood tests, and CAT scans is a big deal. I know all about that one.
Waiting for a publisher’s feedback on a submitted manuscript is a big deal. So is the rejection email. I know all about that one all too well.
A job change is a big deal. Your promotion was a big deal; so was losing your employment.
Your wedding, your graduation, your baptism, and your 50th birthday were all big deals.
Our church move is a big deal.
What’s your big deal?
This Sunday, we begin our trek through the fantastic Old Testament book of Joshua. Joshua’s working on his big deal. There’s a reason God tells him over and over to be strong and courageous. And in the middle of it all, Joshua goes back to basics. Brilliant! It’s what we all should do with our big deals. Our text will be Joshua 1:1-9.
What are the basics? Remember God’s promises and take possession. How do you do that? Get out of the way, and let God’s Word lead the way. We’ll unpack more on Sunday.
Whether you’re struggling with infertility or moving your church 3.5 miles west— your big deal demands you go back to basics.
I can’t wait to teach this Sunday. We’ll be going back to basics. It’s a big deal. We’ll be gathering at 9:00 & 11:00 a.m. I’d bet there’s someone you know who also needs to go back to basics with their big deal. You should invite them. It’s a big deal.
See you soon…
