If you missed last Sunday’s teaching, the following were some of the key verses we looked into:
Romans 15: 2-3 Each one of us needs to look after the good of the people around us, asking ourselves, “How can I help?” That’s exactly what Jesus did. He didn’t make it easy for himself by avoiding people’s troubles, but instead waded right in and helped out. “I took on the troubles of the troubled,” is the way Scripture puts it. –The Message
On Sunday, we get to practice these verses as a church, corporately.

Look after the good of those around us–450 Argyle Elementary students and their families.

Asking, how can I help? May this be the one phrase that the Argyle family gets sick of hearing.

Jesus did not make it easy on Himself. It will be hot and crowded and chaotic and humid. It may not be your first choice on how you would choose to serve. But be like Jesus; come and serve wherever you are needed.

Waded right in and helped out. Do not hesitate, God will help you. Wade in!

Take on the troubles of the troubled. Listen to someone’s story and pray for them.

If you do these things this coming Sunday, you will accomplish the chief end of man: to glorify God and enjoy Him forever.

May you enjoy your relationship with Jesus this weekend by serving the families of Argyle and getting to know your Cumberland Community church family better.
