Next Gen Ministries
Our primary goal in Cumberland Next Gen is to partner with parents and guardians to make disciples of our young people. We extend love and care, cultivate relationships, share the Good News of Christ, and walk with kids and teenagers through their faith journey as they discover who God is and who He has created them to be.
Programming in each ministry area is designed to reach kids and students in an age-appropriate manner that each one can understand and apply. We look forward to you joining us!
No matter where you are, we want to ensure that your kids remain connected and engaged with God's Word! You can utilize the resources below if you are unable to join us in person. We are praying for you and your family!
At Cumberland, the preschool ministry is more than babysitting. We are laying a critical foundation for faith in the life of a child in an environment where they get to experience the love of God through the care of our amazing team of trained volunteers. Every lesson and activity reinforces these three basic truths:
- GOD MADE ME.
- GOD LOVES ME.
- JESUS WANTS TO BE MY FRIEND FOREVER.
In the elementary years, a child will grow in wisdom, faith, and friendship.
Kids Ministry provides an opportunity for children in Kindergarten through 5th grade to build community, learn about the character of God, and discover what it means to put their trust in Jesus. We accomplish this through compelling large-group teaching and small group reinforcement. During their time in elementary, kids will know that:
- I CAN TRUST GOD NO MATTER WHAT.
- I NEED TO MAKE THE WISE CHOICE.
- I SHOULD TREAT OTHERS THE WAY I WANT TO BE TREATED.
Cumberland Student Ministry exists to fuel students’ passion for the glory of God. We aim to assist students in knowing and worshipping Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. We will equip and motivate students to connect the compassion and power of Jesus to today’s growing and changing culture, while developing them in discipleship under our Lord, Jesus Christ.
Cumberland Community Students, or CCS, is our Sunday-night gathering at 5:00 PM at the Smyrna Campus.
Middle and High School Students are encouraged to attend and serve during our regular Sunday morning worship services, and then come back for our CCS Sunday-night gathering!
