Our primary goal in Family Ministry at Cumberland is to partner with parents and guardians to make disciples of our young people. We accomplish this by extending love and care, cultivating relationships, sharing the Good News of Christ, and walking with kids and teenagers through their faith journey as they discover who God is and who He has created them to be.
Programming in each ministry area is designed to reach kids and students in an age-appropriate manner that each one can understand and apply. We look forward to you joining us!
At Cumberland, the preschool ministry is more than babysitting. It’s laying a critical foundation for faith in the life of a child in an environment where they get to experience the love of God through the care of our amazing team of trained volunteers. Every lesson and activity reinforces these three basic truths:
- GOD MADE ME.
- GOD LOVES ME.
- JESUS WANTS TO BE MY FRIEND FOREVER.
In the elementary years, a child will grow in wisdom, faith, and friendship.
Kids Ministry provides an opportunity for children in Kindergarten through 5th grade to build community, learn about the character of God, and discover what it means to put their trust in Jesus. This is accomplished through compelling large-group teaching and small group reinforcement. During their time in elementary, kids will know that:
- I CAN TRUST GOD NO MATTER WHAT.
- I NEED TO MAKE THE WISE CHOICE.
- I SHOULD TREAT OTHERS THE WAY I WANT TO BE TREATED.
Cumberland Student Ministry exists to fuel students’ passion for the glory of God. We want to assist students in knowing and worshipping Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. Our desire is to equip and motivate students to connect the compassion and power of Jesus to today’s growing and changing culture while developing them in discipleship under our Lord, Jesus Christ.
FUEL is our Sunday night gathering from 6pm-8pm at the Smyrna Campus.
Middle and High School Students are encouraged to attend and serve during our regular worship services.
