Share a FOUR box with your neighbor

This is how my four box mission turned out:

First I prayed about who to ask. I just moved into a new neighborhood and really only met two of my neighbors.
All of my old neighbors either love me or stay clear unless they have a need. We used to have a Friday night prayer for children and the parents loved dropping off their kids . Some even starting coming over.

This is our third week in this new house! I didn't get a yes from any of my invites. On Wednesday my last hope changed their mind. I was not going to give up. I rode around to my old neighborhood to visit a sick friend. She shared a tragedy of her daughter losing her home. They would all be staying with her until further notice. I went home, and talked it over with my husband to see if we could help in any way. We decided to take the children to give the adults a break. Two boys and two girls . The girls declined. Well, I have a 11 and 8 year old at my home and now I realize this is my way to reel in the mother. Friday night is family night so I did the invite to share the FOUR box concept.

This young lady has a lot of anger and hurt right now and God was using me to let her know about his love for her and her family. She was open and the the kids enjoyed the fellowship. I now believe this is who God wanted me to invited over instead of who I had in mind. Hopefully I 'm bringing the boys to church Sunday. They boys will be staying with us until Monday. I asked them to say bedtime prayers last night they quietly participated. My prayer this weekend is, they see the love God has for them.
The mother and I are going to pray together today for her prayer request. A place for her and her four children.
Thanks for stirring the fire in me.
